Heyy people so I’m in a really good mood this morning. Hope y’all are doing great? Anyways, on to other matters. My issue for today is Character. I listened to a message yesterday and it struck me. Character is everything. It determines your relationship with people. Defines your reputation. The way you act is the way people perceive you. It says a lot about you as a person. Many people say there’s a difference between your personality and your attitude. Though this is true to a certain extent, the line dividing them is relatively small. Your attitude is a settled way of thinking. Your personality on the other hand, is the complex of all the attributes.Behavioral, temperamental, emotional and mental that characterize a unique individual. So in other words, I can conveniently say that your personality is what makes you unique. Have you ever sat and thought “what is my personality?” “Who am I really as a person?” “What makes me unique?” Lol. This is already beginning to sound like a lecture. But I just felt like I had to bring this to our notice. Give y’all a reason to reflect a little. The reason we have identity crises or wanna-be issues is that many people do not even know who they are as a person. Or what they stand for. They are neither here nor there. They just ‘go with the flow’. This is the reason why many people do not have the right attitude. Like I said before. Your attitude is a settled way of thinking. Most people aren’t ‘settled’ in their thinking. Their mind is everywhere. And hence, their attitude is like a flickering bulb. Bright this minute, dim the next. No one is perfect. Yes. But at the same time, it’s not an excuse to be ‘commonplace’. Have a character that radiates and draws people to you rather than chase them far away. Most times people with attitude issues don’t even know they have it. To them, every other person is the problem. If you constantly have to bring people down, or be condescending to feel okay. Then you have a problem. You just haven’t figured it out yet.
So in the end, my point is….. Lol. My point is nothing beats being beautiful from the inside out. Having a character or personality that speaks volumes. And opens doors for you. (Not literally though) We focus more on our looks and the outside without paying attention to what really matters. Your personality. Develop yourself daily. Don’t be unnecessarily rude. Or unnecessarily whatever that isn’t you at all. If you still don’t know who you are as a person or what you stand for, go soul searching. Lol. It’s all about content. No one likes an empty container. I rest my case.
